About New Bern, NC - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!
The historic city of New Bern is located in Craven County, North Carolina, approximately 45 miles southeast of Greenville. Founded by Swiss immigrant Baron Christopher de Graffenried in 1710, New Bern became the first permanent seat of government in colonial North Carolina and served as the state’s capital until 1788, when the city of Raleigh was awarded that distinction, due in part to its central protected location within the state. Present day New Bern is home to a population of more than 30,000 residents, who enjoy the beautiful scenic countryside and lovely seasonal weather that is common to the area.
New Bern is home to numerous historic sites of interest that include Tryon Palace and Gardens, where visitors can glimpse life during Colonial America through the Palace’s unique living history experience, and the North Carolina History Center, where guests experience the state’s history through a series of rotating exhibits and interactive historical activities that revolutionize the museum experience. An up and coming destination for the cultural arts, New Bern is also home to a number of art galleries, studios, and local theaters and hosts several arts festivals and special events each year that include ArtWalk, Arts Ahoy, and the Craven Arts Festival, all sponsored by the Craven County Arts Council.
Situated at the confluence of the Trent and Neuse rivers in North Carolina’s Inner Banks region, the progressive and historic city of New Bern is a great place for living, working, playing, or just visiting!
